A cosmetic enhancement procedure that is quietly beginning to gain popularity among its women patients is vagina plastic surgery. While it is a little extreme for the conservative types among us it is slowly becoming more accepted in society. There are three types of treatments available for women who feel uncertain about their private parts. These procedures are really just cosmetic touch ups and provide no actual health benefits but that is the way it is with most plastic surgery procedures. They serve to boost the confidence and self esteem of the patient which is often a great health improvement in itself.
There is a treatment for women who want more symmetrical labia. It is actually not uncommon for women to be born with slightly asymmetrical lips but in more noticeable cases some women feel that it is prohibiting them from being completely comfortable with their body especially when they are with a sexual partner. Some believe that this inhibits their ability to perform sexual activity as well as they otherwise would if there wasn’t the mental block. Whatever the justification, many plastic surgeons are happy to exercise discretion and protect patient privacy while producing great results with the surgery.
After multiple births combined with natural aging, it is not unusual for the vagina to look some of its natural tightness and elasticity. There is a procedure to reverse the effects and restore the original tightness. Obviously this is a treatment that appeals to older women who have lost the elasticity in their muscle and connective tissue and want to feel younger. This procedure in particular ranks up there in terms of plastic surgery costs.
Another treatment that is similar in principle is the reconnection of the hymen. This is often the tissue associated with a woman’s virginity but could be broken by several other reasons other than sexual intercourse. Physical sports or injuries caused by falling and the like can also be responsible for breaking the hymen. This procedure is much more rare and only performed when compelled by cultural or religious reasons.
